How to Run Calibration Mode on Samsung Washers
Author: Zach Gilliam Reference Number: AA-00455 Views: 15391 Created: 2018-05-22 17:30 Last Updated: 2019-05-09 22:50 0 Rating/ Voters

Calibration Mode is used to reset the weight detection on a washing machine and is typically one of the last steps of installation before the washer is ready for use.

It can also be used any time the weight detection seems to be out of alignment. For instance, if the washing machine often detects imbalances, adds too much or too little water, or if the unit seems unable to spin at all, or spin at high speeds, Calibration Mode is a recommended troubleshooting step.

Top Load Washers

1st Method -

  1. Remove laundry or any contents in the machine.
  2. Press Temp. and Delay End simultaneously for at least 3 seconds when the power is turned on.
  3. Press START/PAUSE to activate Calibration Mode.
  4. The pulsator will rotate clockwise and counterclockwise for approximately 1 minute.
  5. When Calibration Mode is finished, "0" appears on the display, and the washer will automatically turn off. The washer is now ready for use.

2nd Method -

  1. Remove laundry or any contents in the machine.
  2. Press and hold Water Level and Delay End simultaneously for at least 3 seconds when the power is turned on.
  3. Press Start/Pause to activate Calibration Mode.
  4. The pulsator will rotate clockwise and counterclockwise approximately 1 minute.
  5. When Calibration Mode is finished, “End” appears on the display, and the washer automatically turns off. The washer is now ready for use.

Front Load Washers

1st Method -

  1. Press Power to turn on the washing machine.
  2. Press and hold Smart Control for 3 seconds.
  3. Press the Up/Down arrows to select Calibration. Then, press OK.
  4. Press Start/Pause to start Calibration
  5. The door will be locked during the operation. The drum keeps rotating clockwise and anticlockwise for several minutes.
  6. When complete, the washing machine turns off automatically.

2nd Method -

  1. Power off, and then power on the washing machine.
  2. Hold down Temp. and Delay End+ simultaneously for 3 seconds to enter Calibration mode. The “Cb” message appears.
  3. Press and hold Start/Pause (Hold to Start) to run the Calibration cycle. The drum will rotate clockwise and counter-clockwise for about 3 minutes.
  4. When the cycle is complete, “0” appears on the display and the washing machine will turn off automatically. The washing machine is now ready for use.

I put a load of towels and I get error code 5c but I just did a load and it’s fine
I’ve done all the diagnostic test and now I’m calibrating it and it just keeps going in circles with no numbers or anything

Trying to do this on my top loader- the code CC comes up, I hit enter and it starts a regular cycle? What am I doing wrong?

Keep trying step 2 on front loader if it doesn't work at first. It took me several tries. Don't press start if you don't see cb in the display because it will start a washing cycle.
